The New Family Constellations

Family Constellations are the tools corresponding to a thought, and as this thought evolves, the tool evolves. The technique of representing an unknown person or an abstraction, and receiving information from this representation, is ancient. And the technique adapts to the vision of the user.

In a first stage, Bert Hellinger acted as a psychotherapist, inspired above all by Psychoanalysis and Gestalt, in which the psychotherapist has power and knowledge. The representatives were under his orders. They had no autonomy of movement. A healing image was sought for the client.

The constellation was a fixed, immobile representation, solely directed by the Constellator (and by the client when placing each representative). This model of psychotherapy lasted about fifteen years, and is still present in the constellation with dolls.

When we have placed ourselves in front of something greater that directs everything, wants everything as it is, and moves everything with love, we can no longer be the ones who move the representatives or make them speak.
At the end of the nineties Bert Hellinger abandoned the psychotherapy model, showing that life is much more than psychotherapy, and that different forces direct our lives; forces far superior to us, which continually guide us towards unification and love.

The constellation brings out many of these forces, and it is only the movement driven by them that causes healing. And Hellinger understood that this was reflected in the fact that the representatives have an autonomous and involuntary movement that guides the constellation towards an unpredictable outcome that will be a source of healing for all. He observed that if the representatives were centered and unintentional, they spontaneously moved very slowly towards a solution unimaginable by the constellator. At first he called this movement "movement of the soul."

At the same time, until more or less the year 2003, he was opening phenomenologically to moral conscience. From then on he was able to understand that our fidelity in the form of moral conscience limits our dedication to life and healing, and that healing is always a movement of reconciliation beyond that moral conscience. A force superior to all moves everything: from moral conscience and its tragic consequences to the healing and happiness of human beings. Everything is moved from love, at the service of life, by the love of the spirit.

Then Bert distinguished between movement of the soul and "movement of the spirit": the movement of the soul that encompasses the representatives is an archaic movement that shows the unconscious dynamics in which the client is trapped, caught in an intricacy, consequence of moral conscience ; the movement of the spirit is the movement that arises afterwards, often in the wake of a healing phrase, and leads towards reconciliation and healing. It was considered as a movement external to the human system, as a movement of the field of the spirit.

That spirit or great conscience that thinks everything and as it thinks it creates it, is thinking at the same time as it is thought. It could be understood that the movement of the Spirit belonged as much to Something greater, to that Great Consciousness or to the Creative Void (whatever you want to call it), as well as to Humanity and all human systems. We are no longer looking for an image, but for a movement; and also a reconciliation movement.
The healing then is the healing that the whole family system needs. It is good healing for all. There is no individual healing.

From the book El Manantial of 2002, Hellinger tells how to constellate: let the field act. And at various times, for example in the little book on the Constellations of the Spirit, he says that the "old" constellations are constellations of death, they are dangerous for the constellator, and, although they allowed a healing at first sight, they created new disorders a posteriori. by not respecting family systems, with new negative consequences for the client's family. How did they not respect family systems? The constellator believed himself to be the healer. On the one hand, he applied "his" solution, and on the other hand, he did not respect order: he allowed the ancestors to move or make them speak and he asked the client to also disrespect their relatives, moving them. Of course without realizing it, we believed that it was the right thing to do ...

In the New Family Constellations we see that the healing energy is in the client and in the field. And that healing energy unfolds when the person tunes in with life as it is. The constellator puts himself at the service of the creative void and helps the client to agree to everything as it is.
The center
The new constellations (of the spirit, quantum, etc.), that is, the constellations from the Center, are the new instruments that arise spontaneously from the field if we let ourselves go, if we are centered ...
It is the requirement to practice these constellations and movements. This centering or opening to the greatest, to nothingness, to the void, to the love of the spirit, demands practice and above all inner growth, both on the part of the constellator and on the part of the representatives.

Not everyone can represent. Well, if the representative or the constellator are not centered, they will manipulate, projecting their needs; and the result is going to be dangerous for the client, and, by resonance, dangerous for that same representative and for the constellator, because he is responsible for what has happened.

The group
In the constellation there are two planes present simultaneously: that of the present reality with the constellator, in which the client will be able to do or say something, and another timeless and delocalized level in which the representatives move pushed by the healing energy.
The constellation, representatives, client, and constellator are guided by the healing forces of the newly formed field.

The group places itself at the service of the life of the constellation and also surrenders to the healing forces or movement of the spirit. From the beginning of the constellation, everyone present is taken by these healing forces and will be carried away by them. Some will feel compelled to participate, without knowing for what or whom they will represent; others will feel that they have to remain in their chair, representing someone. One sometimes feels that he has represented several people, either simultaneously or one after another.
All will receive healing. All those present, those who represent and those who remain seated. And those who are not there also receive healing. First the relatives of the constellates, and those who especially vibrate with them. Second, in a slower way, we can see that the shock wave of each constellation manages to reach the rest of the population.

The representatives
The difficulty of representation lies in knowing how to distinguish dramatic or psychodramatic information (which is very easy to perceive, but prevents any deep solution and easily provokes reactions of mass hysteria, in which personal projections dominate) from deep, bodily and phenomenological information. , from the field.

The representatives are in absolute internal silence, they hardly perceive emotion. Only an extremely slow movement directs them, without being able to perceive where it is going until that movement is finished.
The quality of your centering determines the quality of the constellation. Being a representative is the result of an internal attitude towards life: knowing how to surrender to a direction beyond the emotional, the intention and the control, no matter how good the underlying intention is.

The representative surrenders to a subtle force that he does not control and that he trusts.
No one can tell you where to stand, what to do, or ask you to say something. It would be a "usurpation" of the role of the spirit movement.
The constellator
The constellator will be in the attitude of representing himself, totally centered and will allow himself to be encompassed by the movement that his center asks of him. Everything you decide is driven by your connection. An offline constellator cannot dedicate himself to the new constellations.

The constellator is responsible for everyone acting from the center. Your own connection is what will give the constellation strength and fluidity. You no longer have the possibility to intervene on the representatives. These are directed by the movement of the spirit.

The role of the constellator is to bring each of those present to the necessary recollection so that they can let themselves be moved by these forces. Everything is forgotten, there are no hypotheses, there are no rules. There is only phenomenology and not doing. Phenomenology means discovering what really is. Not doing is doing nothing voluntarily, it is letting yourself be guided, it is remaining silent, connected and waiting.

This subtle force, which we called "movement of the spirit" and now "forces of the field" or "healing forces", is the only one that heals. It is totally geared toward reconciliations and reinclusions that will create healing.

Sometimes at the end, there is important information for the customer. The constellator has to continue protecting the client and feel if it is appropriate to give any information. The return to be useful for the customer has to be essential and very focused.
